We specifically bought this cooktop because of the left side burners being the same size. You'd think that would make cooking with a griddle easy as you don't have to fight the size of the flames front and back. Nope. It has a higher ridge in the middle, causing the griddle, or even a large pan to wobble. We've complained about it, and KitchenAid sent out a new set of grids. Same problem. Turns out it is a design flaw. KitchenAid said there is nothing wrong with it and won't do anything more for us as they claim no one else has made an issue of it and besides, that design was intention. Their "reasoning" makes no sense at all. So, when we go to replace the cooktop, we won't consider replacing it with a better designed cooktop made by KitchenAid. By the way, we did a complete kitchen remodel and not only bought that cooktop, we also bought a dishwasher, a double oven and a refrigerator...all by KitchenAid. So very disappointed they weren't interested in helping us with a replacement.
