This is my third JennAir gas downdraft cooktop. I am constrained by location in my kitchen and the width of my counter (against a wall and not in an island). My first one, in 1990, I hated. The replacement ten years later was black glass which I LOVE the look of and the ease of cleaning glass. Now, the newest cooktop is stainless. The knobs are better, the fan now has three speeds and the well the vent screen sits in is not as deep. Grates are now a cast iron product and not enamel that chipped off.

I bought my gas cooktop last month and I absolutely love it!! It cooks our food in half the time of an electric cooktop. It also is beautiful in my kitchen and I am so proud to own it!
