My old glass top KitchenAid cooktop lasted 28 yrs. This was a total change. The knobs are the opposite turn radius from the old cooktop and the burner grates are taller. The burners are tight with large pans, I wish the small upper right burner was also on the lower left. The stainless steel areas are somewhat rough and not as smooth as our KitchenAid dishwasher and the wonderful finger print free surface on our KitchenAid fridge, so wish that was better as this surface will be wiped up all the time.
