We added this hood to vent outside when we remodeled our kitchen. Prevously had a microwavve over the cooktop that vented internally. Vent works great but contractor said was a little difficult to install in our standard height (8') kitchen. Overall very satisfied.

I like the LED lights, nice and bright. Be careful when you take off the filter, hold it on both side. At first I used only one hand thinking it was going to swing open. Support it on both side.
