The nice looking hood was installed as an upgrade in a new Toll Brothers home. Within 6-7 weeks of moving in the house the Blower motor broke down and needs to be replaced. Calls to Kitchen Aid help desk has long 30+ min wait times. On a positive note the customer service reps are very polite and helpful. However, Kitchen Aid has only one service provider in the area and their technician insists that the hood has to be uninstalled before they can replace the motor. It is a huge unexpected mess. We regret buying the product and to make matters worse all our other appliances are whirlpool and the cook top has also broken down within the short use period.

I bought this for my new house as one of our KitchenAid appliances. It makes very low noise comparing to my old one and it does a great job venting the air. We love it.

Works fine, but buttons need to be updated. You have to push power button and the speed button you want rather than just pushing one button to start it. the buttons feel a little cheap, touch screen like the oven would be much better. Also, quality control is lacking. Had to order 3 before getting one with no damage.
