We just received our new Frigidaire freestanding convection electric range and it is a beautifully designed addition to our kitchen. As foodies, my wife and I both love to cook, but only if we can use the right equipment. At Johnson & Wales-Culinary School, they certainly teach how to improvise from lessor or non-availability of equipment in the kitchen, but this advanced stove/oven performs outside most requirements to prepare excellent dishes.

Iâve only had my new range for a couple weeks, and Iâm loving it. Easy to navigate with one exception. The air fryer basket. It diidnât come with the range and the air fryer was one of the reasons I chose Frigidaire. The fryer basket has to be purchased separately @ $50.00. Not mentioned at time of purchase. At the price of the range it should have been included. And one other criticism ⦠the knobs on the front of the range are illuminated from behind so the temperature setting isnât really easy to see. Would have been better if the temperature itself was illuminated. Beyond that, Iâm enjoying my new range.

I bought this range very excited about all of the different cooking options. I havenât tried everything so far but the convection and baking modes work well. The stovetop is very nice, I like that the buttons have an LED light so you see right away if theyâre on. The range itself if very sleek looking.So far there are two things I donât like. I bought this range specifically because it has a steam baking option. Iâve tried it now twice and all the water evaporate quickly and doesnât seem to be staying in the oven. Thatâs a major con if you want to use that feature but not everyone will. My only other minor complaint is with the timer. When you set it, it sets for the cooking and will turn the oven off when itâs done. Thereâs no option for you to click and still make it continue to bake. Every time you have to turn the oven back on, choose the baking mode, pick the temperature, etc.

Aesthetics: Beautiful design. Looks great in my kitchen. Function: Quick boil is great. Large burner is helpful for big pots. Bridge burner is awesome feature for griddle/fry pans for large quantity cooking. Baking: Air Fry is awesome and very powerful. Gives crispy results. Convection bake is wonderful and perfectly bakes my pound cakes and muffins. "Steam bake" setting is great for fresh bread! Overall, a great value and smart decision for the home cook who wants A LOT of features at a reasonable price point.
