Bought one year ago and pretty much hate it. Replaced an old contractor model Whirlpool that would increase the heat in our home by 2-3 degrees when we used the oven. We assumed insulation was giving out/not adequate. Brand new KitchenAid increases heat in our living space by by 4-5 degrees and is very hot to the touch. Takes forever to preheat. Ceramic stove top looks terrible. The white dots around burners look like crumbs. I have had 2 previous ceramic stove tops (including a white one) that I was able to keep looking perfect. KitchenAid has not looked good since first use, despite huge effort with recommended products. Affesh is worthless. Able to get it cleaner (but not great) with other brand stove top cleaners. Aqua Lift oven cleaning appealed to me when we made the purchase, but is totally worthless. Tonight, I heard a loud pop while cooking on the stove and fear that one of the burners has partially burnt out. Of course, I am just outside the 1 year warranty. Why should you have to buy an extended warranty after 1 year on a $1300 product? Our local dealer has been wonderful regarding numerous issues on range and fridge, but will never buy KitchenAid again.

Would have been four or five stars if not for the Aqualift cleaning system that does nothing.
Beautiful Appliance. Hard To Clean

Cleaning the top is impossible. Take a good at your new stove right out of the box because it will never be that clean again. The solid black top is a real bummer. Hard to see where the burners are in the black glass and the surface is constanly marred. If anything starchy boils over, you’ll never get it off completely. I’ve tried three different cleaning kits for glass tops...complete with special pads, scraping tools and creams. I simply cannot remove the charred rings. And this is only after a couple months. It looks terrible & like I don’t clean it.
Very Disappointed

We purchased this range a few months ago and after very little and gentle use the ceramic glass cooktop already has multiple scratches. My cookware is smooth on the bottom and we are not sliding the pots across the surface. We clean it with the recommended cooktop cleaner. We contacted customer service and we were told that it was cosmetic and the warranty would not cover it. I thought that by purchasing a KitchenAid that I was purchasing a top quality appliance, but I am finding that not to be true. The cooktop should be more durable! The seal between the cooktop and metal frame is also starting to pull away from the frame. Customer service is sending a technician to look at it. I hope we have better luck with that and that we are not told that it is cosmetic as well. I have found after reading other reviews that many had complained about the bottom storage drawer and I agree with their complaints. The drawer is made of thin and flimsy metal. It doesn't slide very easily and is very uncomfortable to the hand as you try to open it. The metal feels as if it is cutting into your hand. The drawer is also quite shallow allowing for a minimum amount of storage. We also purchased the matching refrigerator and dishwasher. I hope we have better luck with those. We purchased KitchenAid because we wanted quality and we wanted to by American made and American owned. At this point, I regret spending the extra money. I might have been better off buying a cheaper, low-end foreign made range. Extremely unhappy! I do not recommend purchasing this range.
