We have had ongoing issues with the oven on our Bosch range (HGS5865UC) since we bought it a year ago. We have already had 4 service calls to “fix” the problems, but they continue to happen. We have only been able to use our oven 6 of the last 12 months. The next service appointment isn’t for a month, again another month without our oven working! This is extremely frustrating, and we would like some remedies, other than “we will try and come fix it, in a month”... a refund so I can buy a range that works, a replacement that isn’t defective… something… anything. I was a general contractor for over a decade and installed dozens of appliance packages over the years and I can tell you that this isn’t normal, or common to have so many issues with a new product. Any of the other manufacturers I dealt with would have replaced this thing 6 months ago or made it a priority to get this thing working properly. I am beyond unsatisfied at this point, having to waste food because our oven doesn’t work, not being able to bake birthday cakes for our kids, the list goes on and on. I spent 90 minutes on hold yesterday (while trying to work) and the gentleman who finally answered was rude and instantly combative, saying it wasn’t Bosch’s place to give me any remedies other than sending another tech out to try and problem solve (again) and told me to call the place where we bought the range, since Bosch doesn’t sell the range, only manufactures them… Albert Lee appliances (where we purchased the range) said that isn’t the way it works. They said if Bosch can’t permanently fix the ongoing issues, they need to replace it, or give you a refund, not Albert Lee. Please call me to get some resolution, i'm not waiting on hold for another 90 minutes!

Our new home came equipped with the full suite of luxury Bosch appliances. The styling really caught our eye, as we've had Subzero, Wolf, and Kitchenaid in previous homes. But - I could not imagine that the oven does not display temp, and you cannot specify the temperature other than to turn a knob somewhere between 50• increments to set the temp. Without a digital readout of the current temp - it is unclear as to whether the oven is warming or at temperature or at the target to ensure that you have dialed the knob precisely between 350 and 400 to yield 375. This is definitely not a cooks oven, but rather a decorative piece in the kitchen. As a side note, all of the other issues with getting the burners to light have been experienced. We've leaned to live with it but would not recommend this range if purchasing today until these design flaws are resolved.

Please read all reviews before purchasing! This oven doesn’t tell you the temperature, has boiler problems, burner issues and Bosch will not replace it! The oven looks good but isn’t functional. I’m waiting for Bosch to resolve my issues without being on hold for 2 hours.

Horrible oven for cooking! Looks great but made very cheap! The clock never shows you when it's pre-heating and no temperature is ever displayed. You literally have to guess. Knobs fall off SO easily. Bottom of oven needs a toekick and shows all dust and anything underneath it. I would never ever recommend this oven and Bosch should be ashamed about it.
