In most cases the dryer works perfectly. The only problem so far is when trying to dry a single bath mat, the dryer cannot tell when it is dry. In every case it sounds like a rocket is taking off in the laundry room.

This dryer has so many features and is so large it's difficult to find a place to start but I think the Washer Link is probably the best place to start as it makes drying an extension of washing by linking to the washer and setting the drying mode to match whatever wash mode was chosen. This dryer is huge inside so I am glad GE also added lights to illuminate the inside. I liked the feature of the multiple venting routes from the rear, sides, or bottom, however, the engineering of this feature and subsequent vent kit I don't feel was fully baked. The primary issue I have is the vent kit comes with a bracket that attaches to the base of the dryer with only an adhesive to hold the vent duct. This obviously didn't last but a moment so I had to improvise with some foil tape to reinforce it. Upon installing it was making a knocking noise as the drum turned but after running a load of laundry it stopped so I suspect it just needed a short break-in period on one or more of the rollers. The smart features are not as extensive but I like the notifications of almost done, done, and done for 30 minutes. It also allows for an extended tumble from the app if you can't get to the dryer in that time period. I am overall very happy with this dryer and look forward to many years of trouble-free operation.
