This Maytag washer and dryer pair replaced a three year-old pair made by a foreign manufacturer. To be honest, I sold the home and the foreign appliances were included with the sale. When shopping for new appliances, the "Made in America" was important, as were the features. Fortunately, this pair is American made and is a definite upgrade for me. Other items to consider: You'll need a washer drip pan (required where I live) that fits 27" x 31" (I found mine at Home Depot); the washer cycles are longer (some in excess of 90 minutes) than I was accustomed to; steam option did a great job on some new curtains that I purchased. All in all, a great investment for my new home! Thanks Maytag for making a quality product here in the United States.

Very quiet. Would like a light in the washer. Simple to use. Am keeping an ear out for the drum though; washer seems very level, but drum sounds like it’s not.
