Within the first 6 months the washer would shut off as soon as we hit start. We have to try to turn it on 12+ times before it kicks on. So we have to stand there for several minutes attempting to start and not walk away until we hear water flowing. We have had them come 4 x to fix it while under warranty x they have replaced lower boards, computers and other mechanisms repeatedly and it still does not work. For a brand new machine I should not have all these issues. They should be replacing it but have not done so. It’s very frustrating & a huge inconvenience. Do not recommend this machine or GE at this point.

We had a Whirlpool front loader for 13 years. It died and we got a top loader. Hated it for a year. Clothes always came out wrinkled. Got this GE front loader a month ago and I LOVE it. It has SmartDispense. You put up to 50 oz of detergent in, and it uses just what it needs. I never have to guess again! And it tells you when it is low and roughly how many loads you have left. When you download the SmartHQ app, it tells you when your load is done. That is awesome because the only thing I don't like is the signal, it's very low so I don't usually hear it. I get an alert on my phone when it's 5 minutes from done, and another when it is done. It really spins out the water at the end of the cycle. My clothes are much dryer than with my top loader. Plus it spins slowly and tumbles the clothes around, something a top loader can't do. It makes a little noise when running, I can't describe it but it is not annoying. And it does not bother me. AND when I wash sheets, they don't all end up inside the fitted sheet!!!! I will never buy another top loader!

I just got this but so far am pleased with it. I do think the button to start/pause is a little slow to react or just not pressing it on the right spot, but shouldn't be that complicated.
