I never liked the chest type of freezer because of how hard is to find things especially at the bottom. I did lots of research upright vs chest freezers. I checked CR and found this unit. CR did am excellent job with their reviews. I made the decision to purchase the GE fcm16dlcww chest freezer. Well, with two rows of shelving GE did an excellent job to organize the freezer. You can find things easily without breaking your back. For the technical specs; its a large size freezer. Comes with 2 large and 2 small shelves. I recommend to order 2 more sets. Plenty of room inside to store all your goods. Since it’s big, you will need a good space to install this giant. When plugged in first time, alarm goes off, but resetting the button clears it. I read some people had hight temp alarm issues. I’m not sure if it’s common or an assembly line issue. It took about 2 hours to cool the whole unit to be ready for goods to be freeze. It’s very quite and installed bright light is a great addition to the unit. Has drainage system to clean the unit. Make sure to pay attention to its measurements and measure where you are planning to install. Finally, in the end it’s a freezer and it does it’s job very well and highly recommended.

I have loved this freezer, we have not had it too long but thus far it has worked awesome! I was able to fit so such much in it and I love the light feature in the freezer. It is perfect for your garage!
