I bought this fridge in December (5 months ago). The first fridge that was delivered to my home had uneven doors. The technician tried to even the doors, but was unable, so Maytag exchanged the fridge for a new one. The second fridge never made ice. A technician was sent out twice to fix the problem, but the machine never made ice. I was told it was a problem with the freezer door, and the whole door would need to be replaced. Also, they had no idea when a door would be available because I had to wait until they were being produced, as they do not stock the doors. 2 months later, after a dozen phone calls I was told a replacement fridge would be sent. Well the day of delivery they called after my window of delivery and said the shipment did not come in. Needless to say I had cleaned out my fridge and put everything in coolers just to put in back in the broken fridge. So, today they finally arrive with my new fridge (fridge #3), and this time the inside liner has major scratches and the light on the water/ice dispenser does not work at all. Finally after 3 hours of phone calls I am receiving a refund, although they wanted to send me a 4th fridge. I have never received an apology from this company or any incentive to continue to be their customer.

Purchased this fridge to replace a 25 Cu Ft Kenmore/Whirlpool side by side, very similar. The Whirlpool was very quiet - had to really listen to see if it was running. Not so with this new Maytag. The Condenser fan is quite loud, can hear it humming 3 rooms away. Then when the compressor starts, it really gets attention. Sounds like a commercial fridge... My dad asked if I had gone to the store and asked for the loudest one they could get! To compare, it is easier to hear the fridge running than the dishwasher. Additionally, there is a condensation spot on the door where insulation was missed. I have adjusted the temps to proper levels per the manual, and it is still there. To top it off, we had a soda bottle leak, and it dripped down the shelves. The "fancy" metal/glass shelf got soda between the layers - there is no way to clean between them! Shelf is now stained. When we set the fridge up, we noticed there was silicon sloppily placed on moving parts, and elsewhere. It was all over the inside of the fridge, not very precise. It took a lot of cleaning to get that cleared up. We have been purchasing Maytag appliances as we replace our old ones, and all have been good (I'd buy them again) except the fridge. I have let this fridge run for 3 months prior to reviewing it, to see if it would settle in and quiet down. No such luck. While it works and does it's job, it is certainly not anywhere near the quality of the lower level 15 year old Kenmore/Whirlpool fridge it replaced. I wish I kept that old one... at least the Maytag looks nice.

Bought this when our old fridge went out. Lots of space and very bright. We love it but doesn’t make ice fast enough. And to the bottom back came with no cover where the fan is so left the cardboard on. Other than that great fridge!
