Unfortunately this turned out to be a very noisy refrigerator for its small size. I needed to replace an older fridge (different brand) of same size that was not as noisy as this one. Another thing I learned after buying it is that since is Energy star the compressor has to be on more often. The room temperature here is not that high, I don’ open it very often to blame this on other factors, it’s just the design. I’m really bummed I had such high hopes for this General Electric, I have to wear noise cancelling headphones at night while trying to sleep as I live in a small apartment (hence the size of the refrigerator).

We desperately needed a replacement refrigerator in a park model trailer used for a vacation home. The old refrigerator was clearly not energy efficient and we noticed that the motor was running most of the time. To find a top freezer refrigerator to fit a smaller 65H x 33W x 32D size was not easy -- there are just not many choices out there. There was an option available via GE Appliances and we are EXTREMELY HAPPY with it. The fact that it has built in handles along the door, instead of the handles that protrude from the surface was an improvement to give the smaller space in a park model a more streamlined feeling. Of course we would love to have a huge, side by side refrigerator with all the bells and whistles but this was not was the need. For a solid and well functioning refrigerator for a smaller space this was a WINNER. We love the efficient features of this refrigerator and the GE service from removal of the old refrigerator to installation was SUPERB. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The refrigerator could not keep a constant temperature between 30-40 degree even when at #4. The door has to be close all the time to maintain the between 30-40 degree temperature. Also, the refrigerator is loud.

We purchased this refrigerator for our cabin in the mountains. We were very limited to choices as the refrigerator had to fit under some cabinets. We hauled the refrigerator to our cabin. Plug it and and was shocked at how loud it was. Thought I'd give it 24 hours to "adjust". The noise did not change. The bedroom is near the kitchen and you can hear the refrigerator from the bedroom.
