Downdraft sweats, causing mildew

We bought this cooktop 5 years ago. I really like it, but the downdraft pulls warm air from outside, causing moisture to build up in the bottom. We have had a problem with mildew forming in the bottom of the downdraft and on the filter.

Very happy, but I noticed a small scratch after three one half weeks. The pans we have are smooth flat bottoms. Hope this is not a recurring issue. Unit sets off the kitchen appearance nicely.

The first unit delivered had a cosmetic problem with small area not painted. Replacement appears to be OK. Two areas of concern; we looked everywhere and used online Q&A and never got an answer as to the two different wattages on the burner that has two size circles. No one appears to know. Secondly the pictures for marketing appear to show each burner with a different shade of black so as to know where the outline of the burner is. The reality is you almost cannot tell without turning on the burner and letting it get hot/glowing.

I am not used to cooking on a ceramic top yet but this is a very nice cooktop with a lot of great burner sizes that even fit my 12” skillets!
