Poor quality, Bosch not the same brand anymore

Had the same dimming issue mentioned in other posts, but lived with it as it wasn't worth the cost to fix. Had the same light failure mentioned in other posts, but lived with it (ordered replacement bulb, but didn't install yet). Worst of all, it was shorting out/arcing (?) on the back wall and has been cutting a line through the back wall. I don't use it as much as our young kids so just happy it didn't burn our house down (had bought all Bosch applicances for new house build in late 2015). And, ironically the back wall of the microwave seems to be the only part you can't order through service parts. I'm pretty sure my first and only mircrowave was about $100 and lasted over 15 years (and was still going). This $1300 unit didn't last much more than 6 years. Unimpressed.

We brought Bosch Oven+Microwave combi 2years ago. The microwave has stopped working. A month ago, the fuse failed and I have paid $260 for the Bosch technical to fix it. In 3 weeks now sensor cooking stopped working. Bosch service charging again $200+ within 3 weeks of the last job. Also, the service center guys were rude. Recommend not to buy.

Just had this installed in new kitchen only to find out that the panel display is considerably more dim than practical to see and more dim than other Bosch appliances installed beneath. To my surprise when I went online to verify I was changing the settings correctly I found that this is a fairly common issue and that a control panel will need to be replaced. That would have been good to know before we bought it. Certainly would have preferred that Bosch just sell the unit with a functioning control panel. Don't waste your money.

I hate this microwave. Brand new house, very expensive product. Hated from beginning. Motor broke in less than 2 years. No help from customer service at Bosch. They did not even know who their repair people were. Zero help. Spent $450+ replacing motor. It still arcs almost every time you use it, so worthless and scary to use. I will never buy another Bosch, ever. And the clock thing is SUPER annoying to boot. How dumb is that? Totally unimpressed with product, service,etc. Bad look for Bosch.
