As I wrote in an earlier review. My2-year old Bosch 500 series Microwave had to have $600 in repairs because the microwave part shorted out. Also the"Start/Enter" and "Cancel/Off" labels have completely worn off --- no caustic cleaners, no abrasive scrubbers used. They just faded away. And Bosch said there were no replacements. So I have two blank buttons. Another thing that could be better is the microwave door opens downward. As it sits above the paired Bosch oven, only a tall person can reach all the way to the back of the microwave. A door that opens to the side would be nicer. I have to stand on a step stool to clean the inside. I do like the Sensor Reheat and Beverage options on the panel.

I bought this microwave in 2018. Two years later the mechanism inside the door broke causing the circuit breaker to trip. I spent over $100 on replacing the part because the warranty was only for one year and one week after the warranty on the part expired, it broke again. Now I have a microwave that's only three years old and has to go to the dump. I like my Bosch dishwasher but would never buy any other Bosch appliances!

This unit is disappointing given the price for the following reasons: 1. The display panel is almost invisible even at the brightest setting. When contacted support, we were told that it was designed so to conseve power. 2. There are a lot of spots in the heating compartment where microwave coverage is not there. Food does not heat evenly through out the compartment, inspite of the turntable. 3. Worst problem of all for this built in model is that the door opens down and comes between the user and the oven. It is hard to reach inside the oven to place dishes or for cleaning. The problem could have been easily avoided if the door swung open to either left or right (or reversible).
