After spending almost $2000 on this microwave we didn't expect it to break in the first couple years. We spent money on repairing it since it was out of warranty. It broke again month after the repair. We tried several times to call the customer service and email someone over at Bosch - no response. Not only is their product a total disaster, their customer service is severely lacking. We have their stovetop and oven as well and those work fine, but after their lack of response on the microwave issue I will never again buy from Bosch.

I purchased the HMC80152UC brand new from an authorised dealer when I remodeled my kitchen in late 2015. Within 4-5 months, I noticed that the top control panel was exceptionally dim, despite being set on the highest brightest setting. 8 months later, it went completly dark and stopped working altogether. I used a repair service to replace the panel for $300, but still the display was barely lit. Well, right before the Thanksgiving holiday, the unit died again. I contacted Bosch customer (dis)service and they told me it would be 3-4 weeks before a technicain could even come to look at the unit. Well they came the other day, told me what I already knew (the unit was broken and needed to be repaired) changes me $139 for the service visit, and gave me an estimate of $602 in part to repair it. SOOO not worth it. I'm done with Bosch.....you lost a customer but gained another stellar review.

We purchased our first microwave and oven in 2015. The oven has worked great. It is now 2020 and we are on our third microwave. Our third microwave just failed. We have had this one less than two years. We thankfully have an extended warranty. Four microwaves in 5 years. We are stuck because the microwave is built in and these units are not cheap. We cannot get another microwave without doing cabinet repairs. We reached out to Bosch and got no help. We have other Bosch products, and all work great.

The day I plugged it in it started to randomly turn on and run through programs on its own. Would try to preheat, and once preheated it would turn off and then turn into "demo mode" until it was unplugged and reset.

This microwave/convection oven was easy to use and offered convenient 30-second warm-ups. BUT it stopped working entirely after 13 months. Dead.
