I bought this inadvertently, after seeing on sale in the store. I had no stove hood previously & didn't really realize how much I needed one. Plus the freeing up of counter space was a huge plus. At first I thought it looked rather small, but it works for everything I need it for.

I wanted a over the oven microwave but they are too big. This one is good. I haven't lost any cupboard space & in fact gained a cupboard area where the old microwave was. We are putting in a rack for standing dishes up & a shelf.

I just happened to spot this unit at the store and ordered it immediately. In my kitchen, the cabinet over the range is 24" high. Ideally it should have been 18" high to allow adequate room for an over the range microwave and fan unit. Since I cannot find a smaller cabinet that matches the existing cabinets, I was going to just install a range hood fan. This "Low Profile" combination unit fits in under the cabinet and still allows 20" clear space between the range and the microwave. A "perfect Solution." Thanks Whirlpool
