Buyer beware! We recently had to replace our JennAir counter depth refrigerator which served us well for over 15 years. While shopping for a replacement we decided to look at a new KitchenAid model that looked great and was less expensive than a new JennAir. We decided to buy and our refrigerator was delivered a few days later. The installation went smoothly and the refrigerator worked fine for a couple weeks and then the trouble started. First to go was the ice maker, followed by the units inability to hold it's temperature. We found this out after leaving town for a long weekend and by the time we returned everything in the refrigerator was spoiled and had to be thrown out. The refrigerator was repaired under warranty and a few weeks later, the ice maker was broken again. Another repair was scheduled and the ice maker was fixed. Everything seemed ok for the next several months and we had a repeat of both problems. An icemaker that doesn't make ice and a refrigerator that wouldn't get colder than 49 degrees. After squabbling with customer service about whether or not the repairs would be covered under warranty, KitchenAid repaired the unit without charge. After several more months, as of today, we have the same exact problems AGAIN! This isn't a coincidence. The technicians that have repaired the refrigerator were not surprised to see the problems that we were having during previous repairs, so there are issues with this model that apparently can not be permanently fixed. I can not recommend this refrigerator to anyone, unless you are in the market for a $3000 boat anchor that looks good and will spoil your food when it inevitably breaks.

This is the most beautiful fridge ever! So far (we've only had it a week) but it is excellent! My food is staying the perfect temperature and it is SO nice that I'm not throwing away my produce after 2 days.
