I like the wine fridge's looks. Very clean and blends in nicely with my kitchen. The temperature and controls are no problem. For me, the door hinge is tricky. I need to open the door grester than 90 degreesto pull out the wine racks. As a result, the racks usually get hung up on the rubber gasket that seals the door. In addition, my previous wine fridge (LG) had a stationary bottom rack to hold open bottles; this one does not. Finally, you have to manually close the door and double check it stays closed. Several times the alarm has sounded due to an open door.

Unreliable Cooler

We bought this refrigerator less than a year ago. Cost was about $1000.00 As of last night, it has malfunctioned twice. Fortunately it is still under warranty but I'm concerned it will break down again after the warranty expires. It was difficult finding the company that was going to service the cooler after the first malfunction. I called the number in the manual but was told they didn't do the service calls. It took several calls to different numbers until I finally hooked up with the right people. During one of my calls, the person on the phone tried to sell me an extended service plan. Unbelievable. The service tech came out, and after inspecting the cooler determined that two fans were not working. He had to order the parts and two weeks later returned to "fix" the problem. The cooler worked for two weeks and then last night malfunctioned again. It's real easy to know when there is a problem because the cooler makes a beeping noise that can only be resolved if you unplug it which means pulling it out from the custom cabinet made for it. A real pain. As I pulled it out, I noticed the side walls were extremely hot. I have noticed this same problem now on both break downs.I have a feeling this is due to a poor design and that the ventilation space under the cooler is insufficient to keep the the electronic parts cool and working. When the cooler IS working, I find the space between the shelves are not high enough to hold the wine bottles without scraping the labels. The shelves themselves are made to only hold narrow bottles. Not really designed to hold 46 bottles of various widths. Also, the upper compartment can only be set for 50 degrees or lower. Too cold to store expensive red wines. To say I am unhappy with this cooler is an understatement. I'm going to try and return it for a full refund,
Not worth the money

I have had this model for less than 3 years. It has never seemed like it held the correct temperature and seemed to hum alot. You could not reset the temperatures that it was set at. One day, it beeped non-stop until it changed to say Hi for both temperatures.A day or two later it completely shut down. I called for service and was told it was shot! That was about a year ago. Miraculously , we had a power surge in our house and it seemed to come life again. Tonight it went on a beeping fit again and is now back to saying Hi. I guess it is truly done!

Torn the entire kitchen out, burned the cabinets in the back yard. Had custom cabinets built and ordered all matching color appliances from "Whirlpoolinsidepass.com" Saved a bunch of money and all delivered at once. Wife loves them. Only time will tell how they hold up. But w got the extended warranty as well and I have never had an issue with Whirlpool before
