A mishap in air filter housing ruined this frig

Purchasing this frig would have been a great experience were it not for the wrongly manufactured air filter housing. It does not fit the LT120F filter stated in the Owners Manual. LG has failed miserably to address this issue and I think we have to wait for an after-market part to have a workable replacement air filter. This issue exposes a weakness in the chain of management within LG.

For a counter-depth fridge there is so much room. Water/ice dispenser in the door is big and can fit large glasses. Overall we are happy with the purchase. It is a great design. The window door I could take or leave. Doesnt bother me but wouldnt care if it didnt have it. The two issues Ive seen are that the in-door ice maker tends to allow ice to freeze/clump together if it is not used very frequently i.e. daily and needs to be dumped out as it will not make ice since the clumps stay at the top and make the trigger think the bin is still full. The other bigger thing is that the air filter that is stated as fitting this model DOES NOT fit. This is starting to be documented online. The housing does not fit the LT120F air filter even though the manual says it does. No one at LG seems to have an answer at this point. I am sure they will get it straightened out but as of now you have to buy an entirely new FILTER HOUSING just to replace a little carbon air filter...so wasteful and unnecessary.

I purchased this new fridge in late December water dispenser started leaking off and on in March. The repair tech has not been able to fix it. I assume too many requests on the part needed to repair ice maker and back ordered for 30 days. Most disappointing is LG Customer Service giving me the run around between them their repair rep and Costco. Very disappointed.

This review is for Model #LFXS26596D which was purchased the end of November 2019 but delivered in January of 2020. We had a problem early on and a technician was sent problem resolved. Then in mid 2022 the freezer door wasnt sealing. Took out all food and saw a buildup of ice behind the drawer. Cleaned that out. In May of 2023 the compressor died. The customer service has not been good. They denied having a record of me even calling. Now theyre finally working at resolving this. There was a class action suit but apparently they havent resolved the problem with their refrigerators. Cannot recommend them.
